Catch a glimpse of me on Freeview Channel 11 (Sky Arts) on Wednesday, February 17th, on my latest venture as a Wild Card Artist on Landscape Artist of the Year.

What I have learnt during any venture into painting en plein air is that you have to be prepared for any weather! It turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year but fortunately my daughter came along armed with ice, a water spray bottle and even draped a wet towel over my neck to cool me down! What I didn’t bargain for was how quickly my acrylics dried up and it was a battle to get them onto the canvas before a film started to appear on the paint!

Here I am being filmed chatting to Tai-Shan Schierenberg as I paint the lake and its surroundings at Stoke Newington.
